Summer Wedding Decorations

Summer is one of the most beautiful times of year, but despite its natural appeal the season can present special challenges when deciding how to decorate. Here are some ideas that are great for any summer wedding decoration on a budget.

1. Buckets of Popsicles

Grab some old tin baths, fill them up with ice, and arrange an assortment of colorful popsicles. The ice and the snack will make it feel refreshing, and the pop of color will give it that fun summery vibe.

2. Natural Greenery

If you’re having an outdoor wedding, consider trying to incorporate any natural greenery or flowers that happen to be on the grounds. Excellent in the budget category, this option also works if you’re taking pictures outside as well.

3. Lit Pathways

If part of the festivities will be taking place after dark, lighting up pathways with electronic candles or string lights adds a sweet and warm summery feel to what might otherwise be an overlooked corner of your summer wedding reception decor.

4. Fruit Trays

Speaking of summer wedding decorations for receptions, fruit trays can also inject a shot of color. Try putting a small plate at each table. They can even be the centerpiece. For a more spendy option you could also look into edible arrangements. You can also choose fruit that goes right along with your summer wedding colors.

5. Summer Themed Props

Whether you’re having a photo booth or you just need extra items to fill in empty spaces, you can choose summery props to round out your summer decor. For example fruits, flamingos, a beach ball, sunglasses, or snorkeling gear.

Remember, not every scrap of decor needs to be some Southern Living centerfold piece. What’s important is that you like the way your wedding looks. Even with its challenges this season has boundless opportunities to make your wedding beautiful and unique.
