A Magical Día de los Muertos Event: A Firefly Dinner Party at Flint Hill

On a chilly November night in the heart of Norcross, Georgia, a magical celebration unfolded at Flint Hill, hosted by the visionary founder of A Divine Event and member of the exclusive Firefly Supper Club, Kendall Collier. This extraordinary event brought together the essence of Día de los Muertos, a traditional Mexican holiday celebrating and honoring departed loved ones. The combination of vibrant decorations, exquisite catering, and unique atmosphere of Flint Hill created an unforgettable experience for all who attended.

Flint Hill, with its picturesque setting and charming significance, provided the perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind celebration. The venue, adorned with colorful patterns, papel picado banners, striped sarape blankets, and details of sugar skulls, transported guests to a world where tradition met contemporary elegance. The catering for the evening was a culinary masterpiece, curated to perfection to capture the spirit of the occasion. Guests were treated to a delectable array of traditional Mexican dishes with a modern twist, crafted by skilled chefs who showcased their expertise in blending flavors. From made-to-order guacamole to handcrafted salsas with tomatoes and peppers fresh from our Chef’s Garden, Burria Beef Tacos and Stuffed Poblano Peppers, Jalapeño Tamales and Quinoa Salad, each dish was a testament to the dedication and passion put into creating a memorable dining experience. Perfectly paired with custom cocktails and even a tequila tasting experience, the special menu was both detailed and delicious.

Signature cocktails kicked off the celebration! Refreshing Palomas and three options of Margaritas: lime, strawberry, and mango were served at the bar. But the food was the star at this wickedly delicious event! Guests were served starting courses of Pozole Rojo, a Mexican Pork and Hominy Stew, and Birria Beef Tacos before they were welcomed to the interactive chef stations where they enjoyed customized Cheese + Wild Mushroom stuffed Poblano Peppers served over Black Bean Puree and topped with Fire Roasted Salsa, Smokey Crema and Roasted Corn among other offerings. As the visionary behind the Día de los Muertos dinner, Kendall's passion for creating unique and immersive events shone through and her team perfectly executed the alluring evening. Our chefs’ dedication to cultural authenticity, combined with festive décor, and unique experiences elevated the evening to a truly extraordinary affair. Guests marveled at the thoughtful details, from personalized makeup to coordinate with their attire to the carefully selected entertainment that added a touch of magic to the night.

The atmosphere at Flint Hill during the Día de los Muertos event was nothing short of enchanting. As guests mingled, enjoying the carefully crafted cocktails and engaging in lively conversations, it was evident that Kendall had succeeded in creating a night that transcended the ordinary. The blend of cultural celebration, culinary excellence, and the unique charm of Flint Hill left attendees with memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
